Lasershow Designer 2000 is the state-of-the-art system for laser show production and presentation. LD2000 takes the best qualities of Pangolin's multi-award-winning Lasershow Designer series, and adds more speed and more features. As just one example, you can create raster frames and movies, like the one shown at right. You can make raster frames with built-in LD2000 functions, or by using the free Lasershow Video realtime video system. As another example, our optional add-on programs, Lasershow Converter MAX and Lasershow Converter FLASH instantly turn standard computer graphics into finished laser shows.
Ten times more processing power
The LD2000 system is powered by the all-new QM2000 board. It is this board which makes available the new hardware and software capabilities. (In fact, you must have the board installed, in order to operate the software. LD2000's advanced features depend on the QM2000's power.)
• This half-sized board fits in the PCI slot available on almost any modern computer or
notebook docking station. It's easier to find computers with PCI-bus slots, and the
PCI bus has faster data transfer
• The QM2000 has about ten times the processing power of the older QM32. This lets the
board run faster and allows Pangolin to add new software features.
• You can get point output rates up to 130,000 pts/sec. Such fast rates are necessary for
photorealistic TV-like raster frames.
• Frames can be up to 6,000 points in length. This is ideal for faster 50K+ scanners, that
can show more points without flicker.
• Software geometric correction is built-in, so you can get perfectly square images on the
laser screen, even if you are projecting off-center (or even if the "screen" is round
like a planetarium dome).
